Real chicken with real flavour. Our chickens live outside 24/7, breathing fresh air, scratching, pecking and bathing in Dorset sunshine.

Grown slowly at a natural pace, they forage on a natural diet of bugs, worms, seeds and grass, producing meat that is nutritious and full of flavour.

Whole chickens are a great traditional way to feed your family. One bird can be enjoyed as a standalone roast, or stretched into two or three delicious meals.

• SOLD FROZEN - Our season runs from late-March to mid-October, when the weather is warm and dry enough for the birds to live comfortably outside. We freeze our chicken to not only preserve flavour and texture, but also provide chicken year round. 
• WEIGHT - Our birds naturally vary in weight between 1.6kg – 2.4kg. Your bird will be anywhere within your chosen range.
• GIBLETS - Please remember to remove the giblets from inside the chickens cavity. Perfect for stock and super nutritious.

Processing Location: Otter Valley Poultry (Approved premises)

STORAGE & HANDLING: Keep refrigerated at 0-4°C. Suitable for home freezing: freeze on day of receipt if not using immediately. Once frozen, use within 3 months. Do not refreeze once thawed. Ensure thoroughly cooked before serving. Juices should run clear and internal temperature must reach 75°C.
